Until Our Paths Meet Again

Today I'm writing not about cooking or about any recipe I have made but about someone that I have lost that meant something great to me. My Grandma Cluff passed away last friday and it has really shown me how one special lady can make such an impact on you in life. Always with a smile on her face and hugs and kisses waiting for you everytime you were with her. She showed so much love to everyone around her and made everyone feel so loved and welcome.

One fun memory I have is a time when i was probably only 4 years old and going to the park for a family picnic or dinner. Grandma had planned a bubble gum blowing competion for everyone and had any flavor of Bubblicious gum you could think of. The biggest bubble blower got a prize (I think it was packages of gum). I was too little to blow any bubbles to win the prize for the biggest bubble but of course she had prizes waiting for everyone. One small example of her kindness for everyone!

She will be missed but remembered for her amazing compassion and loving warmth that you could feel at any time. I love you grandma and will miss you so much!

Here comes some cookin! Watch out!

First off i would like to thank Andrew for setting up this awesome blog for me and also for designing the very cool title and picture! Love you!

I'm excited to do this and hopefully will find the time to post weekly. My goal is is to try a new recipe every Monday (my day off work in which i find time to cook or bake) and let all my followers, now only 3 but very amazing people, know how well or maybe even awful something is and the fun I have doing it! Who knows I may even occassionly make fun of a TV cooking show host....most likely Rachael Ray ohhhh is she nuts...

No i'm not trying to me like Julie Powell on "Julie and Julia" (or as i have called it in the past Julia and Julia) cooking like some odd 600 recipes in a year, but who knows I may suprise everyone. I always told myself I could never cook and that I could only bake things. Well look at me now, I cooked a garlic leg of lamb with a wine pan sauce! Accompanied by stuffed zucchini with feta cheese, tomatoes, and onions! Who would have ever thought.

So here it comes everyone! Get ready for some good food, drinks, and laughs ....I hope.... while I go along with my cooking adventure!

For my love,
I dedicate this blog to my love, Jason. I will always support you in anything you do. I am so proud of your amazing culinary accomplishments lately. Remember that night, long, long ago, you said that dinner to you was Sqeezey Cheese on a Ritz Cracker! You have come along way! And I am excited to see where you go from here! I look forward to reading many of your posts and enjoying this experience with you.
Your biggest fan,
